As part of the Deer Harbor Lagoon Bridge Project, the State of Washington
Salmon Recovery Funding Board, People For Puget Sound, U. S. Army Corp
of Engineers, Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, the
San Juan County Council, San Juan County Public Works Department,
the
San Juan County Marine Resource Committee, and many other government
agencies, private preservation
organizations
and private citizens are studying the estuary entrance to ascertain its
pre-bridge condition
and
then build a new environmentally friendly bridge to enhance the
Deer
Harbor Lagoon Estuary.
